Privacy policy
Last updated 24 July 2026. The short version: the sizing tool runs entirely in your browser, there are no accounts, and we never see what you own.
What we collect
Nothing you type. When you build an inventory, the calculation happens on your device and the result is written into the page address so you can bookmark or share it. That address stays with you. Nothing about your belongings is sent to us or stored on a server, because there is no server here holding it — the site is static files.
There are no accounts, no sign-in, no forms, and no newsletter.
Traffic measurement
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they land on. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't fingerprint your device, and doesn't build a profile of you across sites. We see aggregate counts, not individuals.
Affiliate links
This site participates in the Amazon Associates Program. Where the packing tool suggests something to buy, that's a link we earn a commission on if you buy through it, at no extra cost to you. We never put an affiliate link in an email — if you copy a link to share your plan, that link is always to a page on this site, not to Amazon directly.
Advertising
This site carries ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technology to serve and measure ads, and in some cases to personalise them based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
You can turn off personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, and opt out of third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info. Google's own explanation of what it collects when you use a partner site is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
We don't have access to what those cookies contain, and we can't tie them to anything you did in the sizing tool, because the tool never reports your inventory anywhere.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to other sites, including our own howmanyboxes.com and, where noted, Amazon. Once you follow a link, that site's privacy policy applies, not this one.
Children
This site isn't directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect anything from them.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there's nothing for us to hand over, correct, or delete on request. For the ad and analytics providers named above, use their controls, which are linked in those sections.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
